Whistleblowing – Ethical Reporting

1. Introduction

Sicily Food Srl, as part of its governance system, promotes a corporate culture based on ethics, integrity, and transparency.
In compliance with Legislative Decree 24/2023, which implements EU Directive 2019/1937 on whistleblowing, a secure internal channel for reporting violations is active.

2. Who Can Report

The following are entitled to report:

  • employees, collaborators, and interns;
  • former employees;
  • candidates for a job position;
  • suppliers, consultants, and business partners;
  • customers and external parties who enter into relations with the company.

3. What Can Be Reported

The reporting system can be used to communicate:

  • unlawful or fraudulent conduct;
  • violations of the Code of Ethics or Organizational Model 231/2001 (if adopted);
  • improper practices, environmental offenses, abuse of power, conflicts of interest;
  • risks to health, safety, or the environment;
  • violations of national or European regulations.

The following are not considered relevant reports: commercial complaints, personal requests, generic internal grievances.

4. Submission Methods

Reports can be submitted in the following forms:

  • written, by completing the form available below;
  • oral, via telephone channel;
  • direct meeting, upon request of the whistleblower.

Reports can be submitted anonymously. All communications are handled with the utmost confidentiality.

5. Whistleblower Protection

Sicily Food Srl guarantees protection against any form of retaliation, discrimination, or penalization, direct or indirect, against the whistleblower.
The content of the report is handled by authorized personnel bound by confidentiality obligations.

6. Privacy

All personal data will be processed in compliance with GDPR regulations (EU Reg. 2016/679) and retained only for the time strictly necessary to manage the report.
